How to create a Wordpress blog post

Set an Excerpt

To enable exercepts

  1. On the Admin panel, go to Design
  2. Customize
  3. Content options
  4. Under Blog Display”, check “Post excerpt”
  5. Click “Save Changes”

Add social media icons

  1. My Site > Design > Customize > Widgets
  2. Add a Widget
  3. Find Social Icons widget and add it.
  4. Add full link and click Add an icon
  5. Click Publish https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/social-media-icons-widget/#add-the-social-icons-widget

Change Site subdomain

  1. My Site > Manage > Domains
  2. Change site address
  3. Enter your new site address
  4. Click Change site address

It might say “sorry that site is reserved” if the site is the same name as an existing user.
