Text-to-Speech

Reading text aloud on a Chromebook is easy.

Enable select-to-speak

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to Accessibility
  3. Go to “Manage accessibility features”
  4. Enable “Enable select-to-speak”

Using Select-to-Speach

  1. Highlight the text
  2. Press the Search key + s.

Enable ChromeVox fully

  1. Ctrl + Alt + Z
  2. Settings (top -right)
  3. Enable “Speak text under mouse.”
